Responsible business

and Social Impact

The scale and scope of the global challenges our society faces today, and in the future, are enormous – from the climate crisis to inequality. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and our commitment to the UN Global Compact, we collaborate with our stakeholders and use our talents, reach and resources to make a positive impact in the communities in which we work and live.

At CMS, we are committed to running our business ethically and sustainably. We are diverse, supportive and inclusive, taking our responsibilities seriously and creating a culture in which all our people, whatever their background, can maximise their potential and thrive.

It is also our ambition to help our clients become responsible and sustainable businesses. Read more about how we do so here.

Our Responsible Busines programme supports the firm in delivering this vision. We focus on activities where we can make a real, meaningful impact in the following areas:

Education and social mobility: engaging with young people and building futures

We create opportunities that help others shape their futures by providing access to the business world and helping young people to develop their skills and expand their knowledge.

Charitable giving: supporting charities across the world

We work with a range of charities to create holistic partnerships that make a real impact in the world.

Local needs: investing in local communities

We address local needs to support the communities in which we work.

Pro bono: sharing our expertise

We share the legal knowledge and skills of our people to solve legal issues for charities and provide free legal advice to those in need.

Environment: making a difference

We manage the impact we have as a business on the environment and empower our people to make a positive environmental change.
