Potential civil law claims related to acts of unfair competition may involve competition-related private enforcement resulting from anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominance, or the special regime of unfair competition enforced in Romania either by the Romanian Competition Council or the National Authority for Consumer Protection, depending on the type of infringement. We assist clients in bringing and defending claims related to all acts of unfair competition, including the disclosure of business secrets, misleading or unlawful advertising of goods and services, slander and other types of unfair competition, which are broadly construed under Romanian law.

Wherever necessary, we closely cooperate with our dispute resolution team to provide comprehensive expertise and rely on their broad experience in litigation matters in this field.

We also provide day-to-day advice on commercial matters, such as sales and marketing strategies, review of commercial agreements to exclude related risks, as well as product compliance, to help clients protect their commercial interests, while preserving good business relationships with their business partners and avoiding the risk of any future claims.
