Ada Romanti is an associate in the CMS Bucharest Energy team who specialises in energy law and environmental law, with a focus on renewable energy law. Ada has assisted a wide range of local and international clients on matters involving project permitting, the development of green field projects, M&A transactions, Contracts for Difference tenders, public acquisitions in the renewable energy sector, and the certification of energy companies in Romania.

Relevant experience

  • EBRD on designing a subsidy regime in Romania for the implementation of a Contract for Different scheme for renewables projects between 2020 and 2024. The legislation went into force in 2024.
  • World Bank on Offshore Wind Roadmap for Romania: Building a new Offshore Wind Industry in the Black Sea from 2023 to 2024. The country’s first Offshore Wind Energy Law came into force in 2024.
  • Nala Renewables on the acquisition of a 99.2 MW onshore wind project from OX2, one of Europe's leading renewable energy developers.
  • Helexia Développement International on regulatory/energy specific matters related to a very large spectrum of projects regarding photovoltaic systems.
  • Enspire Enerji on the taking over of a 214 MW solar power project in Romania from Econergy Renewable Energy.
  • Several clients in the first round of the CfD auction.
