Ionut Chisar is a senior associate in the Criminal Law Practice at CMS Romania. His expertise is in criminal law and criminal compliance, where he offers legal guidance and representation in all stages of criminal proceedings.

He provides comprehensive legal counsel on various criminal liability issues, defending the rights of his clients before investigative bodies and in court. His experience encompasses cases involving organised crime, white-collar offences such as tax evasion, money laundering, abuse of office, and embezzlement, as well as matters related to health and safety regulations, work accidents, arson, and industrial hazards. His particular focus on white-collar crimes is equally recognised in the anticorruption sector, where he advises on anticorruption policies and represents clients before the relevant authorities.

Ionut has actively participated in numerous complex projects, offering legal guidance and formulating and executing various defensive strategies for both individuals and domestic and international companies.
