Stefan Necula

Stefan is an Associate in the Corporate M&A team in the Bucharest office, combining hands‑on transactional experience with a background in competition law and intellectual property. Since joining CMS in 2025, he has advised on competition law matters related to domestic and cross border transactions. He developed his expertise in leading law firms, where he gained significant exposure to complex antitrust and commercial matters.

Stefan specialises in competition law, with a focus on matters related to M&A transactions, including merger control filings, foreign direct investment notifications and due diligence exercises. In the past, his practice also covered intellectual property, and general corporate and commercial law.
