Tudor Naftica is Counsel in our Banking and International Finance group in Romania with more than 15 years’ experience of Romanian law. Tudor has a broad range of experience and has advised on a number of leveraged, corporate finance, real estate finance and restructuring transactions.

His practice also focuses on financial services, capital markets (ECM and DCM), FinTech products, NPLs sales and transactions.

Relevant experience

Alpha Bank Romania and Alpha Bank Greece on financing for One Properties to develop One Gallery Floreasca.
A syndicate of banks on the public to private takeover of Stock Spirits Group plc, an alcoholic beverage business operating mainly in central and eastern Europe, by CVC.
A syndicate of banks on RON 3bn financing for Delgaz Grid S.A. to refinance its existing debts and its capital expenditure programme.
Enery on its financing from Kommunalkredit for the acquisition and development of a solar power plant.
Banca Comerciala Romana on several financings including the Cogeneration Plant in Navodari, Constanta County, owned by Rompetrol Energy S.A., Cerealcom on its EUR 100m trade financing and Rompetrol Group on its EUR 600m group financing.
EBRD on a EUR 30m revolving working capital loan to Premier Energy SRL, the third largest player on the natural gas distribution market in Romania.
Banca Comerciala Romana and BRD-Societe Generale on financing granted to NetCity, the metropolitan fibre optic network operator in Bucharest.
Acting as English law counsel to an international financial institution on a PIK facility for a foreign retail and wholesale business.
Libra Internet Bank on a EUR 40m bond issue and listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Raiffeisen Bank S.A and Wood & Company on the initial public offering of Med Life S.A.
A consortium of investment funds and pension funds on the intended acquisition of bonds to be issued by a UK based company secured with office real estate assets based in Romania.
