Mohammed is the Managing Partner of CMS office in Riyadh and a Partner in our ICE Disputes team based in Riyadh. He has extensive experience in disputes and regularly represents clients before the Saudi Arabian Courts, judicial tribunals and in arbitration. Mohammed advises clients on matters involving infrastructure and construction disputes and commercial disputes.

Mohammed acts for clients in arbitration proceedings including SCCA, ICC and ad hoc arbitrations. He also frequently advises on construction contracts for major projects relating to the Saudi Government Tenders and Procurements Law.

He also acts as a foreign expert in Saudi Arabian law in a number of foreign proceedings including the Commercial Court in London. Mohammed is a Saudi Arabian qualified lawyer with full rights of audience before the Saudi Arabian Courts. He is also recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500.

  • A Korean contractor on the wrongful termination of a USD 590 million EPC contract by a Saudi Arabian and American joint venture relating to an aluminium rolling plant in Saudi Arabia. 
  • A Korean conglomerate on disputes with its Saudi Arabian partners relating to the financing of a USD 40 million polysilicon plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. 
  • A German-led joint venture on the USD 2 billion redevelopment of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. 
  • A Korean contractor in a Commercial Court proceeding brought by a Saudi Arabian subcontractor relating to an USD 8 billion petrochemical complex in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. 
  • A Turkish contractor on the USD 2 billion construction of two flagship railway stations in Makkah and Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
