CMS, China has sponsored the 2022 HR Excellence Conference: Adapting to Disruption in Turbulent Times, which was organised by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China ("EUCCC") in Shanghai on 27 October 2022. More than 90 attendees from European companies in different industries gathered together.
Jeanette Yu, Partner, Head of Employment & Pensions at CMS, China and National Chair of the Human Resources Working Group of European Union Chamber of Commerce gave a keynote speech on the topic "Rebuild Organisations for the Future" at the conference. Jeanette introduced the factors leading to company reorganisations groupwise and internally and what the change of organisations means for employees. She also shared her insights on what companies can do for the change of organisations under PRC labour law and what the roles of HR are in the process of rebuilding organisations. Following the presentation, Jeanette also moderated a panel discussion with senior managers and HR directors from international companies which explored how to help employees adapt to changes.
During the conference, topics on how to optimise the value of employees and how to tap into potential talent and maximise productivity were presented by other experts and discussed.
