As of 1 April 2006, four financial markets regulators have been integrated to a single regulator: the Czech National Bank. Previously:
- banking was supervised by the Czech National Bank
- capital markets were supervised by the Czech Securities Commission
- insurance and pension additional insurance were supervised by the Office of State Supervision for Insurance and Pension Additional Insurance and
- co-operative savings unions were supervised by the Office for Supervision of Co-operative Savings Unions
These roles have all been assumed by the Czech National Bank while the other three regulators have ceased to exist.
