Czech Republic launches new central portal for public contracts
Key contacts
A new central portal for public contracts in the Czech Republic was launched in December 2025. The portal, ZAKAZKY.GOV.CZ, serves as a free national gateway for bidders interested in Czech public contracts. It brings together listings from several procurement platforms and uses smart, machine-assisted search tools to help bidders quickly find relevant opportunities.
According to the Ministry of Regional Development, the portal currently covers about two-thirds of the market. The target is to reach 80–90% once more platforms are connected. In the long term, the portal aims to provide a single environment where bidders can move smoothly from discovering a public contract to submitting their bid.
Pilot features
During its pilot phase, the portal combines data from the Public Contract Bulletin and three procurement platforms – NEN, Tender arena, and TENDERMARKET – from 2023 onwards. Given this unified view, bidders no longer need to check several different websites. The portal also offers:
- full-text and smart search options;
- concise overviews of public contracts.
These features help bidders make faster bid/no-bid decisions.
Future plans
The Ministry of Regional Development plans to introduce more features in subsequent phases, including:
- an AI assistant to help interpret participation criteria, such as required experience or insurance;
- communication tools, first as alerts and messaging, and later allowing direct bid submissions via the portal.
Once fully implemented, the portal will also enable bidders to:
- sign in using state registers;
- use automatic checks, including criminal record verification;
- manage authorisations through the Representation Register (REZA).
Get ready and get excited
Bidders are encouraged to explore the new portal and prepare for the upcoming features. You can already:
- try out the search tools;
- set and save filters that match your usual project scopes and budgets.
As more procurement platforms connect over the coming months, the portal will cover an even broader portion of the market. In time, the portal will provide an integrated central place where you can discover public contracts, access all available information, and submit your bids.
If you want to prepare for the upcoming features or need any assistance, please contact Lukáš Janíček, Lenka Krutáková, or your usual CMS contact.
