Jana Turečková is an associate in the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes team at CMS Prague. Jana specialises in employment law. She assists blue-chip clients as well as local companies with preparing various employment-related documentation, and advises on organisational changes and restructurings, contracts with top managers and directors, non-compete issues, trade union matters, incentive schemes and dismissals and disciplinary measures. Jana navigates clients through the employment aspects of transactions (especially TUPE transfers), including the participation of employee representatives. Jana also provides complex support on whistleblowing and immigration matters.

In addition, Jana advises clients on various aspects of international commercial law, in particular commercial contracts and consumer protection. Jana also represents clients in employment and commercial litigations and settlement negotiations.

  • Partner in Pet Food on sensitive termination cases with the active involvement of a trade union, hiring top-tier managers and collective redundancies.
  • A corporate service provider on a sensitive termination case impacting top management and setting up the relationship with the new management from the corporate law and employment law perspective.
  • Bruker on employment and trade union issues, including working from home, terminations, compliance with working time regulations, equal treatment, employee transfers, and the revision and preparation of template employment documentation.
  • A German luxury car manufacturer on dealing with the public authorities concerning posting workers from other EU countries to the Czech Republic.
  • A global IT company on the adaptation of HR documentation and processes to changes to Czech labour law and the implementation of an internal whistleblowing channel.
  • Coty’s international management and HR team on a wide range of employment matters in the Czech Republic and implementation of an internal whistleblowing channel.
