Highlights of our experience in Employment & Pensions in Oman

• Successfully represented an international oil & gas manpower supply company in relation to the defence of a series of unfair dismissal and ancillary compensation claims.
• Successfully one of the largest tour operators in the Sultanate of Oman in relation to the defence of a collective labour dispute and associated claims, appearing before the Ministry of Manpower, the Elementary Court and the Court of Appeal.
• Successfully represented an Omani based company mandated to contribute to maritime transport infrastructure and development in the Sultanate in relation to the defence of major employment claims for termination payments.
• Successfully represented an Oman-based company engaged feedstock production, equity trading and private equity investments, in relation to a ten million Omani Rial unfair dismissal claim lodged by the former Chief Executive officer including the handling of all communications and correspondence and the negotiation and settlement of the final termination and release agreement.
• Successfully represented the Chief Executive Officer of an Omani construction company in relation to criminal proceedings taken against him in respect of company non-payment of debts, including liaising with the Royal Oman Police.
• On the negotiation, drafting and interpretation of numerous Omani employment contracts, sale agreements, shareholder agreements, real estate sale agreements and management contracts.
• An international company in relation to employment law in the Sultanate of Oman and performing a wholesale review and amendment exercise of each of its permanent and temporary employment law contracts to ensure compliance with the Labour Law.
• An international oil and gas field services company in relation to the termination of employment of its general manager in a limited liability foreign capital investment company in the Sultanate of Oman, including detailed advice in relation to applicable labour law, practice and guidance.
