Diana is a senior associate in the Finance CEE/CIS team in Bucharest. She has been involved in a wide range of complex transactions, both local and international, ranging from cross-border financings, both syndicated and bilateral lending structures, in the CEE region on real estate, project finance and acquisition finance deals, sales of non-performing loans, as well as on due-diligence projects with a focus on consumer finance matters and template credit documentation.

Diana also focuses on sustainable and green financing matters, and is involved in finance projects with a sustainability feature. She is also a speaker at various webinars on sustainability matters and co-author of articles on ESG and sustainable finance topics.

Before joining CMS, she worked in the banking and finance team of another international law firm in Romania.

Relevant experience

  • Raiffeisen Bank International AG and Raiffeisen Bank S.A. on EUR 60m financing for Ratesti Solar Plant S.R.L. to develop one of the largest solar plants in Romania.
  • A European bank on structuring, negotiating and closing an assignment of receivables toa debt collection entity, part of the APS group of its rights under syndicated financing granted to a Romanian company.
  • A syndicate of banks including Alpha Bank S.A. Greece and BRD Groupe Société Générale on a EUR 60m green loan arrangement for Ploiesti Shopping City S.R.L., a company from the NEPI Rockcastle group.
  • Erste Group Bank AG on Romanian law matters in a EUR 55m loan for Expo Business Park S.R.L., a company from the S-Immo group.
  • A syndicate of banks comprising on EUR 78m real estate financing for one of the largest premium office buildings in Bucharest.
  • A leading Romanian bank acting as lender and in other capacities in a EUR 20m refinancing facility granted to a Romanian company for the construction of an office, retail and services building in Timisoara, Romania.
  • Due-diligence assistance to a Romanian credit institution in the process of acquiring another credit institution.
  • A top credit institution on a EUR 9m facility granted to a key player in Romania in the gym and fitness industry.
  • A syndicate of banks as lenders on the restructuring of a EUR 107m facility for the acquisition of holding companies operating two well-known hotels in Romania.
