David Lee Lewes is a Senior Associate in the CMS Corporate team in Abu Dhabi. David has been practising corporate and commercial law for the past five years in Australia and more recently in the United Arab Emirates.

David focuses on international and domestic M&A transactions, including private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and strategic investments. He has experience working on a range of cross-border and domestic acquisitions, both sell- and buy-side (including corporate auction processes) as well as the assistance of clients in their ongoing corporate and commercial activities.

David has experience advising corporate purchasers, private equity funds, financial investors, government related entities and multinational corporations, as well as leading regional groups in numerous jurisdictions.

Prior to joining CMS, David worked for a Tier 1 ranked M&A practice in Melbourne, Australia, and has been deployed on multiple secondments, including to an infrastructure and private equity fund in Australia.
