CMS, China talks about legal issues faced by companies in China as a result of the coronavirus

On February 11, 2020, the Economist held a webinar on “Responses to the coronavirus: people, productivity and the realities of working from home”. Dr. Ulrike Glueck, Managing Partner and Head of Corporate Practice Area Group and Jeanette Yu, Partner and Head of Employment & Pensions Practice Area Group of CMS, China have been invited to give an introduction on the legal/compliance issues faced by companies in China as a result of the coronavirus.

Jeanette outlined the updated employment policies and introduced the obligations and actions of employers under current situation. Ulrike analysed whether the coronavirus constitutes Force Majeure. Participants raised quite a few questions and Ulrike and Jeanette answered one by one.
