Highlights on Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics for Children

The National Medical Products Administration (“NMPA”) promulgated the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics for Children (“Regulations”) on 30 September 2021. The Regulations will take effect as of 1 January 2022.

The Regulations are issued following the promulgation of Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics (“Cosmetics Regulations”) (with effect from 1 January 2021) and are the specialized regulations targeting the supervision of cosmetics for children (“Cosmetic for children”).
