CMS “Restructuring Wednesdays” is a seminar series on the key legal aspects of restructuring

CMS is pleased to introduce a series of four breakfast seminars: “Restructuring Wednesdays”. We will tackle the key issues that regularly arise in the course of the restructuring assets and liabilities of troubled companies from both a creditor and debtor perspective. The seminars will provide insight for a wide audience, including bankers, in-house lawyers, financial advisors, CFOs and private equity and real estate investors.

The seminars will be run by Czech and English qualified partners and senior associates of CMS Prague. Participation in the seminars is free and it is open for you to take part in all sessions, or only in those of your specific areas of interest.

Distressed acquisitions / pre-packed reorganisations seminar 

On Wednesday 3 April we'll be discussing distressed acquisitions / pre-packed reorganisations as part of this series of seminar events.

Purchasing distressed assets and companies carries certain challenges and requires an understanding of a wide range of issues beyond financial restructuring, such as employment, anti-trust or regulatory matters. This session considers the structuring of distressed sales, including approaches such as “pre-packaged” reorganisation plans.  Our lawyers will discuss issues relevant to both sellers and purchasers, including on the acquisition of assets in and through bankruptcy.
