CMS has advised a club of Czech banks consisting of Česká spořitelna, a.s. and Československá obchodní banka, a.s. on complex financing for the SILON Group, including a sustainability linked loan, which will be linked to the environmental goals of the entire group. The transaction included elements of Czech, German and US law.
The transaction was led by partner Petra Myšáková for CMS, supported by associate David Bujgl and lawyer Michal Václavík. Partner Philipp Melzer and his team handled the legal aspects of the transaction under German law. US law advice was provided by Vedder Price (team led by Jacqueline Helmrick Carlson) and the SILON Group was represented by Eversheds Sutherland.
