The leading global car company Porsche has acquired a ten percent share of the Croatian technology and sports car firm Rimac Automobili. CMS Zagreb advised Porsche on the complex transaction.
Under the leadership of Hrvoje Bardek, the CMS Zagreb Corporate /M&A Team – Iva Grgić and Janko Prošić – advised the global car manufacturer Porsche Engineering on its acquisition of a stake in Rimac Automobili d.o.o. and Greyp Bikes d.o.o. The mandate was secured by CMS Partner Johannes Trenkwalder, who lent his support as the transaction was carried out. One of the CMS team’s tasks was to conduct comprehensive due diligence. In the context of its electric car offensive, Porsche has acquired ten percent of Rimac and is aiming for a close developmental partnership. Rimac develops and produces components for electric vehicles and itself manufactures an electric sports car.
