Tender for the use of co-financing energy efficiency projects

The available resources for this Tender from the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency (the "Fund") are determined in the amount of HRK 15,000,000, but cannot exceed HRK 1,400,000 per offer submitted.

Co-financing will be granted with respect to the eligible costs of technological changes and interventions in the production process, resulting in the lower energy consumption, such as: 

• Improving the efficiency of the use of thermal energy in the production process, 
• The introduction of more efficient industrial refrigeration systems, 
• The introduction of more efficient electric motors, 
• Revitalization of thermal and electrical infrastructure, 
• Replacement of primary energy in power plants with more environmentally friendly sources of energy, 
• Changes in energy aggregates which reduce energy consumption, 
• The introduction and improvement of integrated control and automation and control systems to reduce energy consumption, 
• Energy efficiency measures in the power sector.

The Fund will allocate (de minimis) subsidies to the companies and individuals (crafts) for the eligible costs of the project, as follows: 

• Up to 80% of eligible costs in case of activities carried out in, or by the users located in the areas of special state care, the first group of islands and the protected areas of nature, 
• Up to 60% of eligible costs in case of activities carried out in, or by the users located in the second group of the islands or mountainous areas; 
• Up to 40% of eligible costs if the activities are undertaken, or the users are located in the other areas of Croatia.

The right to Fund resources can be granted to companies and individuals (crafts) established in the Croatian territory, for projects in the industrial sector and for industrial processes area if, among other things they: 

• Have no debts towards the Fund, 
• Have no outstanding liabilities towards the State, 
• Are not entrepreneurs in difficulty, 
• Invest their own funds in the project implementation, 
• Provide evidence that they can financially support the implementation of the project, 
• Timely and fully fulfil all contractual obligations related to the previous allocation of financial resources of the Fund, 
• Are entitled to subventions under the Programme for financing and co-financing of the projects in the field of environmental protection, energy efficiency and renewable energy resources of the Fund.

Allocation of funds from the Fund for financing of projects and measures for sustainable construction, renewable energy and the construction of new plants is not the subject of this contest (except for some of the eligible costs).
