How we work

One of our strengths is knowing how to pull together the right team. We understand the importance of industry focused expertise. As a result, while our lawyers are based within one of our six broad practice groups, they also become involved in one or more of our multi-disciplinary industry sector groups. This enables them to work alongside similar legal specialists to develop and share their specialist legal knowledge, and to gain real insight into the nature of our clients’ businesses and the issues they face. It means that our lawyers can apply the best technical advice in a way that truly reflects the needs of our clients.

To support our lawyers in providing the very best legal services, we have a significant infrastructure of professional support lawyers and business services professionals. Like our lawyers, many of our specialists are dedicated to specific practice groups or sector groups.

We also work collaboratively across our international network, across the whole global CMS organisation. It not only means that our clients receive an integrated seamless service despite cross-jurisdictional complications, but also that we can offer our people exciting opportunities to work internationally. 

In addition to overseas transfers and secondments, our sector and client relationship strategies provide opportunities for client secondments.
