The transaction, completed in spring 2025, involved multiple jurisdictions, including Sweden, Australia and Canada. Following the acquisition, Alkane now operates three mines and expands its production and growth opportunities in Europe.
As legal adviser, CMS Wistrand was responsible for comprehensive environmental due diligence, including the review of permits, regulatory matters and mining concessions, as well as an assessment of the need for a special water permit.
