Jan Alexanderson is a partner in CMS Wistrand’s practice group Real Estate and specializes in real estate law, construction law as well as commercial tenancy law and leasehold. With over 35 years of experience, he has an extensive knowledge in advising Swedish as well as international clients focusing on all types of property-related matters such as transactions, property development, exploitation, construction, commercial lease and permission issues. He has a vast amount of experience in retail business as well as development of shopping malls/trading venues and also assists advising in complex mergers and acquisitions.
Jan Alexanderson also acts as counsel in court and arbitration dispute resolution proceedings in respect of disputes regarding real estate, construction and commercial lease.
Jan Alexanderson has notably led real estate projects developing Häggvik’s Marketplace, Liljeholmstorget Galleria and Avicii Arena, former Stockholm Globe Arena involving property formation, detailed development planning, construction law and tenancy law. He represents a broad range of clients, including office owners, retail builders, banks and municipalities. He is regularly appointed to handle high-profile cases within all kind of real estate and is well-trusted in the field.
He has a rich history of prior experience, having previously worked as partner at Baker & McKenzie, Stockholm office and as General Legal Counsel at Newsec AB, a property consultant company.
