Johan Gregow is a partner at CMS Wistrand’s practice group within dispute resolution and insurance and specializes in litigations and arbitrations, with a particular focus on the insurance sector, construction industry and the industry of public procurement.

With 22 years of experience, he has extensive experience in advising insurance companies, clients within the construction industry and other industries such as the automotive industry. He also advises on contractual disputes, disputes related to the financial sector and liability claims related to public procurement. He represents a broad range of clients in various types of disputes within different sectors.

He has a rich history of prior experience, having previously worked at another international law firm where he was responsible for the dispute resolution practice in Sweden.

Representing a Dutch industrial company listed on Euronext Amsterdam against a Swedish real estate company listed on the large cap list on Stockholm Nasdaq OMX in proceedings before the Court of Appeal regarding a contractual dispute related to costs for decontamination amounting to approx. EUR 3 million.
Represented a German industrial company listed on DAX 40 Index in an arbitration against a Swedish construction company regarding claims for damages under a construction agreement amounting to approx. EUR 7 million.
Represented a private equity company and a Finnish industrial group listed on the large cap list on the Helsinki Stock Exchange against one of the largest banks in Sweden and the Swedish Export Credit Agency in proceedings before Swedish courts regarding recourse claims related to on-demand guarantees and claims for prohibition to enforce payment under on-demand guarantees related to an export agreement with the Libyan Ports and Maritime Transportation Agency. Libyan law was applicable to substantive parts of the disputes, which amounted to approx. EUR 8 million.
Advised an American group listed on Dow Jones in a dispute regarding claims based on alleged defects related to equipment within the automotive industry amounting to approx. EUR 12 million.
Represented a Swiss and Dutch owned commodity trading company, among the largest in the world, regarding enforcement proceedings of UK arbitral awards in Sweden against a foreign company amounting to approx. EUR 11 million.
Represented one of the largest Scandinavian hotel groups in an arbitration against the owner of a hotel building related to a rental agreement and alleged claims for renovating the building amounting to approx. EUR 8 million.
Represented a Swedish hotel group in an arbitration regarding a contractual dispute relating to a rental agreement and an agreement covering rebuilding a hotel building and claims for termination of a rental agreement amounting to approx. EUR 10 million.
Represented the largest shipping company in Sweden in an arbitration in a construction dispute against a Swedish construction company listed on the large cap list on Stockholm Nasdaq OMX. The arbitration covered liability claims for defects in a baths construction in Denmark and amounted to approx. EUR 3 million.
Represented the largest sport and media group in Switzerland in an arbitration against a Swedish company based on breach of a non-competition clause in an acquisition agreement. The claim amounted to approx. EUR 5 million.
