Mathieu Donath joined CMS Geneva's Private Clients department as associate in 2024, after passing the bar exam. His work involves both counsel (especially estate planning) and litigation, primarily in the fields of inheritance law and matrimonial law.

Mathieu Donath graduated from the University of Geneva with a Bachelor of Laws in 2019 and a Master of Laws in 2021, during which he had the opportunity to be an exchange student at the University of Melbourne and pursue LL.M. level subjects.

He worked for Professor Audrey Leuba, Chancellor of the University of Geneva, during his studies, which enabled him to deepen his knowledge in inheritance law, estate planning and the patrimonial aspects of family law.

His prior experience in CMS Geneva's Tax department efficiently complements his current occupation in the Private Clients department, making it possible to consider tax issues when providing counsel, particularly in matrimonial or inheritance law.
