Roxana Sharifi is an attorney and Lead Innovation & Legal Tech at CMS Zurich. She advises on national and international arbitration as well as litigation - from traditional sectors such as automotive and energy to technology- and AI-related disputes. She also has expertise in insolvency and restructuring law and in corporate matters. Roxana advises under both Swiss and German law.
In her role as Lead Innovation & Legal Tech, Roxana contributes to the firm’s AI strategy. She evaluates legal tech and AI tools (including generative AI, AI search, and document automation), manages pilots, acts as an intermediary between vendors, IT, and partners, and is part of change and enablement programmes. Roxana conducts internal and external AI trainings. She regularly speaks on artificial intelligence (AI) in legal practice, dispute resolution (AI in arbitration/litigation), and regulation (including the EU AI Act and Swiss AI regulation), and publishes articles on legal technology.
Roxana studied law at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, completing her legal traineeship at CMS Zurich. Previously, she worked for several years at a leading commercial law firm in Frankfurt, focusing on project finance and arbitration (energy & infrastructure). In 2022, she completed placements at the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., and at the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce in Copenhagen. She also brings expert knowledge of negotiation under the Harvard method to her practice.
Roxana is admitted as Rechtsanwältin with the Frankfurt am Main Bar Association and, pursuant to Art. 28 BGFA, is authorised to appear before Swiss courts under her original professional title.
