Ignacio is a director in the Corporate/M&A Group at CMS Carey & Allende. He advises international investors, financial institutions, and companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and private equity deals, both domestic and cross-border.

He has extensive experience structuring and negotiating complex transactions across the energy, natural resources, mining, and retail sectors, including bond issuances under Rule 144A/Regulation S, corporate restructurings, and cross-border joint ventures.

Prior to joining CMS Carey & Allende, he spent 15 years at a leading law firm in Chile, where he advised on some of the most significant corporate and M&A transactions in the market. He also worked as an International Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in Washington D.C., focusing on international project finance, which gave him a cross-jurisdictional perspective he now brings to his advisory work in Chile.

He is also a professor of Advanced Topics in Corporate Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a guest professor in the Master's Degree in Business Law at Universidad de los Andes.
