Energy & Climate Change

CMS Carey & Allende is permanently engaged in the ever-challenging field of Energy & Climate Change in Chile, given that its development has been paramount in our country’s growth.

Our activity consists of providing permanent services to the most important conventional energy producers regarding the  environmental and territorial feasibility of their projects, establishment of easements and rights-of-way, obtaining and purchasing water-use rights, electrical system interconnections, permits and energy supply contracts.

Our activity has been particularly intense, having spent a great deal of our time advising our clients on new transmission line projects and non-conventional renewable energy source projects. In this manner, we have been able to participate in the earliest of stages in these projects, up to the point of entry into operation, as well as the financing, M&A and private equity related to them.

"Team also has notable experience in regulatory issues, as well as advising on public energy tenders, PPAs and construction agreements for solar and hydroelectric projects"
