Tomas has been an associate in the Corporate/M&A, Fintech and Banking & Finance Groups since 2022. His practice has focused mainly on advising Chilean and international companies on mergers and acquisitions, implementation of corporate structures, advising on bidding processes and regulatory matters, mainly in the defence and Fintech sectors.

Relevant experience

Global Infrastructure Partners, a consortium of investors comprising the AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP), MGX and BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Partners, on the acquisition of 100% of the equity interest in Aligned Data Centers, one of the world’s largest data center designers and operators, with a portfolio of 50 campuses and over 5 GW of operational and planned capacity across key regions in the United States and Latin America, including São Paulo (Brazil), Querétaro (Mexico) and Santiago (Chile).
ON*Net Fibra (KKR) on M&A and financing matters on the acquisition of Entel Chile's fibre optic infrastructure, comprising the primary fibre-to-the-home (“FTTH”) and distribution networks, and the primary fibre optic network for P2P services, including intangibles, a portfolio of 1.2 million homes.
Software AG, a German multinational software corporation majority-owned by private equity firm Silver Lake and specializing in enterprise software solutions on the carve-out and subsequent sale of two of its key business units, StreamSets and WebMethods, to IBM. StreamSets specializes in designing and managing smart data streaming pipelines across hybrid and multicloud environments, while WebMethods is an integration and API management platform available both on-premises and in the cloud.
