CMS advises PPF banka on financing for acquisition of Pasaż Łódzki shopping centre
CMS has advised PPF banka a.s. on the financing provided in connection with the acquisition of Pasaż Łódzki, an established shopping centre located in Łódź, Poland, by Crestpoint Capital Partners on behalf of a Czech private equity account.
The financing supported the acquisition of a retail asset in Poland’s third-largest city. Pasaż Łódzki comprises approximately 36,400 sqm of gross leasable area across around 60 retail units and benefits from a stable annual footfall of approximately 3.5m visitors. The asset offers strong fundamentals, including diversified income streams and further asset management potential.

CMS acted as lead legal counsel to PPF banka, advising on both Czech and Polish law aspects of the financing, including the structuring, drafting and negotiation of the finance documentation.
The CMS team was led from the Czech Republic by Vladimír Zemaník under the supervision of Petra Myšáková, and included Michal Václavík, while Jakub Podkowa and Natalia Wysk Konieczna advised on the Polish law aspects of the transaction.
