Anne is a Senior Associate in the Firm's Real Estate & Construction, and Banking & Finance Departments specialising in all real estate, banking securities and finance matters.

She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya (2018) and previously worked as an Associate at Miller and Company Advocates. She joined CMS Kenya | Daly Inamdar Advocates in December 2022.

Anne assists clients with the preparation and review of leases of industrial, commercial and residential spaces, including comprehensive due diligence exercises and structuring and execution of leasehold development schemes. She also prepares and perfects security documents, including charge instruments and debentures and advises on dispute resolution procedures in case of breach of a term in various commercial agreements.

In addition, she advises and represents clients in the negotiation of the terms for the sale and purchase of land, including guiding clients on the procedure of subdivision, partition and change of user where applicable.

Relevant experience

Involved in various sales and purchases of apartments and greenfield properties in both Coastal and Nairobi regions. This involves preparation of consents, and sale agreements, registering transfers at the lands registries, making applications for conversion of old titles and advising clients on legal issues arising thereof.
Involved in a sale and purchase transaction where the firm acted on behalf of the Vendor. This involved preparation and review of the Agreement for Sale where the agreed Purchase Price was KES 242 million. Liaising with the Vendor’s Financier’s Advocates in reviewing and adopting the preferred terms of the undertaking and obtaining the various completion documents.
Involved in the preparation, perfection, and review of transactional documents to secure credit facilities amounting to USD 2.5 million and KES 211 million on behalf of banks.
Involved in the preparation, review and subsequent registration of leases involving commercial offices, shops, and restaurants in various malls, including the Airport Center, and the Promenade Mall in Mombasa, Kenya.
Guiding clients on breach of terms in lease agreements, sale agreements, and other related issues by expounding on the applicable laws concerning the breach.
