Jacinta is a Principal Associate in the Corporate & Commercial Department and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 

Jacinta obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in the year 2015. She was thereafter admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in December 2017.

Jacinta’s main area of practice is commercial and corporate law. She also has experience in competition law, consumer products, energy, and intellectual property.

  • Drafting and reviewing general commercial agreements.
  • Assist in advising international corporations on the development of energy projects as well as licensing requirements.
  • Involved in advising various entities including not-for-profit organizations on set-up of operations in Kenya and general compliance matters.
  • Involved in conducting due diligence exercises relating to mergers and acquisition transactions involving multi-national companies.
  • Advising, preparation and registration of financial instruments that include legal charges and debentures for various financial institutions including such as NCBA Investment Bank Limited and Standard Chartered Bank.
  • Assisting in carrying out registration and renewals of trademarks and industrial designs as well as drafting of notices of opposition and counter statements.
  • Involved in a wide range of commercial advisory matters, in relation to employment and labour relations, intellectual property, business restructuring and capital markets.
