Nishit has been in practice for over 18 years and has wide experience in, Banking & Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Real Estate Transactions, Private Client Services, Criminal Litigation, Admiralty claims and Shipping disputes.

After serving in the Kenya Navy as legal counsel for several years Nishit joined the firm in 2012. He regularly lectures, on International Law of the Sea and Shipping Law. at the School of Law, University of Nairobi (Mombasa Law Campus)

Relevant experience

  • Advising a leading international Oil and Gas Company on Licensing and intended purchase of Land in Lamu County for purposes of sinking exploratory hydrocarbon wells.
  • Advising on acquisition and subdivision of large parcels of greenfield land and subsequent sale of the subdivisions.
  • Structuring and advising on large condominium type residential complexes including structuring the ultimate disposal system for units and subsequent sales of the units.
  • Other large sales & purchases of real estate for private clients.
  • Advising on various aspects of shipping, contracts for mid-life refits and admiralty claims
