CMS Belgrade lawyers – Nenad Kovačević and Nedeljko Velisavljević - have published an article “Corruption – It Takes Two to Fight it?” in the magazine issued by the Association of Internal Auditors of Serbia.
The authors present the anti-corruption situation in Serbia, where the state has relaunched the efforts to fight corruption by adopting regulations, implementing a new organisational structure of enforcement authorities and strengthening their capacities. They further explain how the business community should also be actively involved in this fight, not only because companies are required to do so by the enacted laws, but because they want their business operations to be based on compliance and ethical standards and do not want to suffer any damage either to their reputation or their revenues.
