Martina is a senior associate in the Commercial, Regulatory and Disputes practice at CMS Bratislava. She focuses on all aspects of commercial matters, including general commercial, data protection, cybersecurity, consumer protection, contracts as well as IP/IT matters.
As a contract specialist, Martina is highly regarded for her expertise in complex contractual and regulatory matters. She regularly advises clients on the drafting, negotiation and implementation of commercial, supply, services and technology agreements, as well as on technical, health, safety and environmental (HSE) matters. Martina also supports clients in managing regulatory compliance and operational risk, including issues relating to operator liability in highly regulated industries.
Beyond drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, Martina provides strategic guidance on regulatory compliance, distribution and supply chain / supplier and customer relationships , consumer facing policies, commercial risks, and the legal aspects of launching products and services in highly regulated sectors such as automotive, retail, technology and online platforms. Her work includes reviewing and tailoring terms and conditions, warranties, product and service documentation, data privacy notices, and other consumer facing legal texts to ensure enforceability and compliance with both Slovak and EU regulatory frameworks. Martina advises on consumer protection, particularly in areas intersecting with advertising, product information, digital services, personal data use, and compliance duties toward end users. She supports clients in understanding market specific consumer obligations and sector specific marketing rules.
Martina’s data protection practice covers conducting compliance audits and GAP analyses, delivering training seminars and drafting data protection documentation. Her advisory practice in the field of cybersecurity also includes assessing the applicability of the Cybersecurity Act and the obligation to register with the National Security Authority (NBÚ).
She has also considerable experience advising on a broad range of IP matters, specialising in patents, trademarks and copyright.
