Oliver Göndör is an associate in the Corporate/M&A team at CMS Slovakia. He advises clients on various local and international M&A, corporate restructurings, commercial contracts and ongoing corporate matters across sectors including telecommunications, automotive, energy, real estate, healthcare, technology, retail, manufacturing. His experience covers complex cross-border transactions, private equity investments, intra-group mergers and restructurings, refinancing deals and regulatory compliance projects.
Oliver combines analytical and technical precision with a business-driven approach, guiding clients through buy-side and sell-side transactions, including preparing due diligence reports, negotiation support, and drafting transaction documentation. He also assists with post-closing integration, addressing both legal and strategic business issues.
In addition to transactional work, Oliver supports multinational and global clients with corporate housekeeping and the day-to-day management of their portfolio companies. For some clients, this includes coordinating the implementation of group decisions across more than 15 local subsidiaries. He is also responsible for registrations in the Register of Public Sector Partners, ensuring compliance for entities doing business with the state.

Oliver Göndör is a member of the Commercial Regulatory team in CMS Slovakia. Oliver participates in commercial regulatory matters as well as related contractual and litigation matters. Oliver advises local and international clients on their ongoing sector specific regulatory matters, including (consumer protection, streaming services, gaming and betting and tobacco, ride sharing services, payment services).
Oliver further focuses on crypto assets and is a member of the CMS CEE crypto group, which brings together legal experts from multiple disciplines across the firm to provide support on projects including giving regulatory advice to financial institutions, investors and crypto asset service providers, as well as control, ownership, valuation and tracing of crypto assets, and Anti-Money Laundering and compliance.
Oliver also enjoyed pro bono work for the non-profit organization Nadácia Zastavme korupciu, where he represented the client in an administrative court dispute concerning the right to free access to information. Together with the team, Oliver secured a victory for the client before the Administrative Court in Bratislava, which was later upheld by the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic.
