CMS Wistrand advises on property transfer to the Swedish Fortifications Agency
Key contacts
CMS Wistrand has acted as adviser to one of the sellers in connection with the transfer of the property Älvsborg 855:597, located at Tångudden in Gothenburg, to the Swedish Fortifications Agency.
The Swedish Fortifications Agency is the government authority responsible for managing Sweden’s defence properties and land. The Agency provides facilities for the Swedish Armed Forces and other public bodies connected to national defence.
The property, situated within the Gothenburg port area, has been acquired by the Agency to support the growing need for land and facilities linked to national defence operations. The transaction includes the area previously used for the naval harbour as well as the Tångudden boat storage site.
Following the government’s approval, the National Fortifications Agency took possession of the property in early 2026.
The CMS Wistrand team consisted of Tobias Svadling (Partner) and Thea Holst Westrum (Associate).
