CMS Wistrand has advised Strawberry Group, one of the leading hotel operators in the Nordics, on the establishment of a new airport hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The hotel, which will be managed under Strawberry’s brand Quality Hotel, will be the largest airport hotel in the Nordic region with 656 hotel rooms and will be located in direct connection to the SkyCity terminal. The hotel plans to open in the first quarter of 2029.
The property is owned by Swedavia Real Estate. The Swedavia Group is wholly owned by the Swedish State and owns, operates and is developing 10 airports throughout Sweden.
Overview of the client
The Strawberry Group is one of the largest hotel operators in the Nordic region with more than 240 hotels, including the hotel chains Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel and Clarion Collection Hotel, as well as more than 40 independent hotels. The hotel chain Quality Hotel, is one of the Nordic region’s largest hotel chains with more than 60 hotels and a focus on meetings and families.
Strawberry has two other hotels at Arlanda, Clarion Hotel and Comfort Hotel, that both are located in the SkyCity terminal area.
