Louise has been a partner at the law firm since 2020 and has served on the board for the past four years. During this time, she has played an active role in developing the business and deepening the firm's integration with CMS's global structure.
With a background in M&A and corporate law, Louise represents both Swedish and international companies. Having worked in London and New York for several years, she has established a broad network within CMS's European and global operations. Her leadership has been central in positioning CMS Wistrand as a strong player in the Nordic business law landscape, making her well equipped and the right person to continue developing a strong Nordic offering.
- It is an honourable and inspiring assignment. Sweden and the Nordic region are characterised internationally by high ambitions, innovation and a strong global perspective. My goal is to continue developing CMS Wistrand to become the obvious choice for international companies seeking assistance in the Nordic region, as well as for Nordic companies that need support both locally and internationally. We have all the prerequisites and clear goals in place to become the leader in the Nordic region, says Louise Rodebjer.
In May, Louise attended the annual Chambers ceremony in Madrid, where CMS was awarded the title “Law Firm of the Year – Europe”
- It's a great acknowledgement of our commitment to putting our clients' interests first, creating value and demonstrating our forward-thinking and innovative approach.
Louise sees a rapidly changing legal landscape, where AI and technological development are central to the development of the business model. She believes that the key lies in responsiveness and value creation.
This is the time where it is all about being adaptive and responsive – not only to changes in our own industry, but above all to the evolving needs of our clients. AI and other technologies demand efficiency, as well as ensuring quality, knowledge sharing and critical review. The real impact comes when technology is integrated into the business model to provide relevant, valuable client support, offering security, insight and precision.
In September, CMS Wistrand's Stockholm office will move to new premises designed to promote a more dynamic and innovative environment – including through internal, cross-disciplinary teams.
- Working in cross-disciplinary teams will make us better equipped to meet our clients' complex needs, promote innovation and share knowledge internally. At the same time, it is crucial that we continue to work closely with our clients – not just as legal experts, but as true partners.
She adds:
- Technology and the office environment are just tools. The decisive factor is the culture – building a law firm that learns faster than the world around us changes.
She looks to the future with confidence:
- We have a strong foundation – the right expertise, a high level of innovation and a strong client focus. Building on this, we can continue to develop in line with our clients’ needs, towards a leading position in the Nordic region.
Current Managing Partner Niklas Alvestrand Körling will remain an active partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency and Banking & Finance practice groups. Niklas will join the Board of Directors on 1 September.
