Diana Valyeyeva is an associate specialised in intellectual property. In her work, she focuses on trademarks and IP rights protection. She has experience advising local and international clients on various aspects of IP law, including the registration of trademarks and IP objects as well as customs clearance infringements with regard to IP objects and related rights.

Diana Valyeyeva also specialises in litigation and pretrial dispute resolution matters in the context of IP law. She advises clients on the execution of IP rights, transferring IP rights to third parties (licensing agreements) and other IP rights transfers.

Previous work experience / training

Before joining CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz in June 2018, Diana Valyeyeva completed two clerkships at the Kharkiv Commercial Court of Appeal, where she worked on bankruptcy cases, disputes concerning corporate rights and commercial contractual disputes. She also worked as an assistant to an attorney-at-law for two years, advising clients on various contractual and corporate issues as well as preparing legal claims and appeals. In addition to that, she worked at the Scientific and Research Institute of Providing Legal Framework for the Innovative Development of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine and did pro bono work advising people who had to leave occupied territories of Ukraine on various legal issues.

Diana Valyeyeva is an associate specialised in dispute resolution. As a litigation associate, she focuses on the pretrial resolution of IP rights infringements disputes and various commercial disputes, including bankruptcy proceedings and the enforcement of court decisions and foreign arbitration decisions in Ukraine.

Diana Valyeyeva also has experience in competition matters, where she focuses on resolving matters related to the illegal use of IP objects resulting in unfair competition practices. She also provides legal assistance in connection with merger clearance.
