Maryna Ilchuk is a Senior Associate in Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang. Maryna advises domestic and foreign clients operating in the area of Energy, Oil & Gas on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues. She provides full service legal advice on the entire lifecycle of the energy companies, paying substantial attention to the commercial and technical aspects of the energy industry.

In electricity sector Maryna is involved in cross-border projects, including electricity transit, export and import; assisting in unbundling of electricity supplying and distribution companies. In oil and gas sector Maryna is actively involved in production enhancement projects, assisting oil and gas servicing companies in their activity in Ukrainian market, in particular, on their contracts with Ukrgasvydobuvannya. She is providing advice to gas traders regarding their day-to-day activity and contract relationships with Ukrainian counter-parties. Maryna was actively taking part in project on unbundling of state-owned energy company Naftogaz Ukraine, analysing possible models of separation and restructuring of the fuel and energy market in general.

Maryna has substantial experience in renewable energy projects, representing both investors, target companies, EPC-contractors, ; taking lead on legal due diligences for purpose of acquisition of the projects; advising on various legal issues related to the production and sale of renewable energy, equipment imports, warranty on the supplied equipment, assisting in obtaining licenses and other permits.

Maryna also advises industry and public sector on implementation of energy efficiency projects. Maryna supported projects for structuring the relationship of public and private partners, in particular, cooperation of foreign investors with state enterprises and authorities. Maryna also has experience in energy disputes.

Maryna is admitted to the Ukrainian Bar as an advocate since 2019.

    • due diligence of a number of solar power projects (in pre-construction phase) for the purpose of further acquisition
