Amendments to the Legislation on Protection of Economic Competition and Alignment with the EU Legislation

This article analyzes the most significant amendments to the legislation on protection of economic competition in Ukraine aimed at harmonizing with the EU standards, in particularly the simplification of procedure to obtain merger clearance, increasing the thresholds required to obtain merger clearance as well as developing and approving Typical Requirements for Vertical Concerted Actions. The article also gives a general overview of amendments to be introduced into Ukrainian legislation on protection of economic competition under EU-Association Agreement.
