The Belgian CMS offices will merge with the firm Olswang on 1 May, following an international merger, which will create the sixth largest firm in the world. Together with the six lawyers joining from Olswang’s Brussels office, CMS will employ more than 100 lawyers in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Through the merger, our full-service offering is further strengthened with a team of specialists in EU and Competition law, IP and TMC law. Olswang's managing partner, Dirk Van Liedekerke, becomes a partner in the new structure, which will bring our total number of partners to 22.
This transaction stems from merger of CMS at international level with the Nabarro and Olswang firms. The new structure will include 4,700 lawyers, active in 39 countries, with a turnover exceeding $ 1.2 billion.
