EU anti-dumping investigation of Brazilian softwood plywood imports
Key contacts
On 6 March 2025, the EU opened an anti-dumping investigation concerning EU softwood plywood originating in Brazil, which could lead to substantial anti-dumping duties on future imports.
The product under investigation
The product under investigation for alleged dumping is defined as plywood consisting solely of sheets of wood (other than bamboo), each ply not exceeding 6 mm thickness, with both outer plies of coniferous wood, whether or not coated or surface-covered (‘softwood plywood’).
The product under investigation is currently classified under the CN code 4412 39 00.
Quick action is required
Affected parties, including importers and EU users wishing to comment and defend their interests, can participate in the investigation. Deadlines for participation can be as short as 7 days, so quick action is required if parties intend to participate.
