Florence specializes in intellectual property law, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, design and patent law. Florence has also expertise in market practices and consumer protection (advertising and marketing law) and in commercial law.

In these areas, she advises clients, assists them in the negotiation and drafting of contracts (including IP transfer and license agreements) and represents them in litigation. She also assists her colleagues of the corporate M&A department in due diligence processes. Florence has completed several secondments with the in-house legal departments of international clients, where she advised on marketing compliance and assisted in the negotiation of commercial agreements.

Her clients range from big international companies to local start-ups, across various sectors.

Before joining CMS in 2012, Florence started as an inhouse legal counsel in an international company and then worked as a paralegal within the IP litigation practice of a London law firm.

Florence holds a Law Degree from the UCLouvain and a Special Degree in Economic Law from the Brussels University (VUB) as well as an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from King's College (University of London).

Florence is a member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

She is fluent in French, Dutch and English.
