Daniel Zemp has extensive experience in national and international litigation as well as in banking and capital markets law. In particular, he advises financial institutions, listed and medium-sized companies as well as German insolvency administrators on the judicial assertion and enforcement of claims. Daniel Zemp's expertise includes Swiss and German law.
Before joining CMS Zurich, Daniel Zemp worked for several years as a litigation lawyer in renowned commercial law firms in Zurich and Berlin.
Daniel Zemp studied at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and at the Humboldt University in Berlin and wrote his doctoral thesis on a civil procedure topic related to Swiss and German law. His doctorate was awarded the Prof. Walther Hug Prize 2018/2019 and the Joseph Vigener Prize 2020.
Daniel Zemp is admitted to the bar in Switzerland and Germany.
