Laura Oeschger-Zwicky is an attorney-at-law focusing on financial market regulation, enforcement, investigations, compliance and white-collar crime.
She advises clients on regulatory and compliance-related matters, conducts internal and regulatory investigations and supports the implementation of preventive measures. In dealings with FINMA, she assists and represents clients in investigations and proceedings and advises them on regulatory matters and procedural aspects.
Through her many years in leadership and senior roles at FINMA, Laura has gained in-depth experience in financial market investigations, enforcement matters and procedural case management. She headed the Investigations of Unauthorised Activities group, worked as a senior lawyer in the Investigations of Authorised Activities and Market Transparency group, and in these roles conducted complex investigations involving authorised and unauthorised financial market participants.
Before joining FINMA, Laura worked as an attorney-at-law at one of Switzerland’s leading business law firms in Zurich in the areas of litigation, white-collar crime, internal investigations and cross-border proceedings. In that role, she led and coordinated complex national and international internal and regulatory investigations, including in the areas of bribery, fraud, compliance and sanctions, managed large review and redaction projects, and advised multinational companies, financial institutions and other clients on white-collar crime, regulatory and compliance-related matters.
Her executive education at the University of St. Gallen in management and leadership complements her experience in leading complex mandates and projects.
