Candy is a senior associate in the Intellectual Property group. 

Candy is a Hong Kong qualified lawyer who obtained her Juris Doctor and PCLL degrees at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She has also passed the GBA Legal Examination in 2022.

Candy is experienced in intellectual property enforcement and commercial dispute resolution, where she works on various contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, involving registration of IP rights and devising and managing enforcement strategies in respect of local, cross border and online infringements.

  • A well-known Chinese medicine company in over a hundred trademark infringement and passing-off actions in the High Court of Hong Kong, including the obtaining default judgments 
  • One of the world’s largest toy manufacturers in relation to claim of damages, stay of execution and appeal thereof, leave to appeal and appeal in the Court of Appeal and Court of Final Appeal (involving issues of assessment of cross-undertaking damages of interim injunctions obtained in the copyright infringement action), taxation and related legal matters
  • A Hong Kong based chain garment company in relation to enquiry as to damages in the High Court of Hong Kong
  • National and international clients in respect of registration and enforcement of IP rights in HK and PRC including patent, trademark, registered design and copyright infringements, devising and managing enforcement strategies, investigations, gathering evidence, issuing cease & desist letters, filing complaints at trade fairs and online shopping platforms, conducting administrative actions and commencing litigations, and assisting in raid actions.
