Wibke is a dispute resolutions lawyer specialising in cross-border disputes in the technology, digital entertainment, and life sciences sectors. Her practice centres on international arbitration, where she acts as party representative in proceedings under all major arbitration rules, complemented by transnational litigations and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. She advises clients on structuring commercial relationships with dispute risks in mind, drawing her understanding of on how licensing arrangements and cross-border supply structures give rise to complex risk profiles, and how tribunals and courts approach contested issues when they do. When disputes arise, her experience as both counsel and tribunal secretary guides clients through the substantive and procedural challenges that follow.

A focus of Wibke’s practice is the video games and esports industry. More than a decade of personal involvement in the sector – through game reviewing and a long-running podcast – gives her a grounded understanding of development dynamics, platform ecosystems, community behaviour and industry trends which she brings to bear for studios, publishers and technology teams as they grow and scale across borders. Within CMS, she contributes to the firm’s cross-jurisdictional Global Games Group (G3), which is focused on the video games and esports sector, and is part of its Legal Tech & AI task force.

Wibke is a German-qualified lawyer practising as a Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong, a Hong Kong-trained and HKMAAL-accredited mediator for commercial disputes, and an HKIAC-trained tribunal secretary.
