Veronica is a dual-qualified solicitor in Hong Kong and New York who focuses on real estate finance and corporate real estate transactions. She has experience in acting for banks, private equity sponsors, funds and institutional investors on cross-border financing, acquisitions, disposals and commercial leasing transactions involving logistics, industrial, office and mixed-use assets.

Veronica is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Relevant experience

  • Brookfield and Maori Capital cold storage JV on the creation of a regional platform for development and management of cold storage assets, including the seed acquisition, financing, and redevelopment of a Hong Kong industrial property.
  • A large private equity real estate investment firm on a HK$ 850.8m term loan facility with a HK$ 120m accordion with a consortium of lenders, secured by a portfolio of assets including 68 separate industrial units in Hong Kong and 27 companies in multiple jurisdictions.*
  • A joint venture formed by a consortium of international investors on a USD 434.6m Hong Kong-based facility and a RMB 1.345bn (circa USD 190m) China-based facility for a property in Beijing, China.*
  • A global private equity real estate investment firm on a USD 70m investment into a mixed-use office and retail complex located in Beijing, China through a joint venture, which required restructuring and amendment of shareholders’ arrangements with the existing shareholders.
  • A global logistics fund on various loan facilities for logistics projects in Asia and other corporate purposes.*
  • An international infrastructure fund on two separate acquisition financing for the acquisition of a controlling interest in an offshore wind farm in Taiwan for a consideration of USD 250m.*
  • A Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed REIT on a RMB 2.8bn (circa USD 390m) term loan facility for a property in the central business district of Guangzhou, China.*
  • The UK Government's national housing agency in relation to the commitment of infrastructure loan funding totalling GBP 233m (circa USD 316m) to finance works for an affordable housing and mixed-use development at the Silvertown Quays site in the Royal Docks, London.*
  • Scotiabank on multiple multi-currency and cross-border loans provided to investment funds. 
  • A global investment bank on multiple margin loans for high-net-worth individuals.* 
  • A large private equity real estate investment firm on multiple acquisitions of industrial properties in Hong Kong (comprising over 460,000 sq. ft. gross floor area), both through asset and equity transactions.* 
  • A large infrastructure fund on its acquisition of a portfolio of onshore wind farms in Taiwan with an aggregate capacity of over 220MW, for a consideration of EUR 170m (circa USD 195m). *
  • Link REIT on its acquisitions of 100% interest in three warehouse developments located in Jiaxing, Changshu North Economic Development Zone and Changshu South Economic Development Zone in China from the Dongbai Group through acquisitions of property holding companies.* 
  • The majority shareholder of a Hong Kong-headquartered leading supplier of cosmetic, beauty and skin care packaging in relation to corporate restructuring matters and sale of shares of the company to a subsidiary of an Asian private equity investment firm.*
